Congratulations to CCYBL's own Coach William Tarver as being named Coach of the Year by the Jr NBA/Jr WNBA for the Atlanta area. He is one of the 32 Coaches of the Year chosen from 83,000 in the United States and abroad. 

The Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Coach of the Year program recognizes member coaches who stand out, both on and off the court, exemplify and teach S.T.A.R. qualities (Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Attitude, and Respect), while representing the hard work and dedication that make youth sports a rewarding developmental experience for players, parents, officials and other coaches.

Coach Tarver has been a volunteer coach at Corpus Christi for more than decade. He was nominated for his years of dedicated service, for teaching respect for the game and for his innovation. For the last 3 years Tarver has coached and overseen the CC Lady All Stars program.  Not only has the Lady All Stars produced a high winning percentage, they also enjoy the Georgia State Women's Basketball partnership established by their coach.  Tarver has built the Lady All Stars to high regard on the local rec-level and beyond. The Lady All Stars has contended in the Gatorade Championship Series finals for 3 consecutive years. He continues to teach and develop youth basketball through instructional mini camps and practice sessions to both boys and girls.

Coach Tarver's dedication, hard work, and knowledge of youth basketball is now recognized nationally and he feels quite humble for the award. CONGRATULATIONS!
